NORMAN TIGERS
Coach: ROCKY MARTIN
3-8
OFFENSE
Quarterback Phoenix Murphy (6-0, 165, Jr.) will get his crack at District 6A-I-2 this fall after seeing limited action as a sophomore. He completed 18 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns last year. The senior-heavy Tigers offense returns five starters, including receiver Max Wilson (6-1, 170, Sr.), who averaged almost 10 yards per catch on 43 receptions last season while hauling in seven touchdowns. The receivers room also brings back Port Hartsock (6-2, 175, Sr.), who scored a touchdown last season but is expected to assume an inflated role in Norman’s spread offense this year. Dax Noles (6-0, 185, Sr.), a
dynamic back who tallied a combined 11 touchdowns last year, is one of the team’s most intriguing players. The versatile senior carried the rock 56 times for nine touchdowns as a junior and added a pair of receiving touchdowns. Devin Alexander (5-10, 165, Sr.) will pair with Noles in the backfield after he recorded 556 rushing yards on 120 hauls last year. Up front, tackle Julius Stephens (6-7, 300, So.) may be young but is far from inexperienced; he started seven games as a freshman one year ago and was one of the Tigers most reliable protectors.
