Q&A with Keeley Parks of Norman & Seleh Harmon of Norman North – Presented by Vision Bank

VYPE: Both of you are seniors this year so tell me who inspires you on and off the court?

Keeley Parks: My mom inspires me because of her hard work and her kindness.

Seleh Harmon: My mom and my dad inspire me the most because they have taught me everything I know.

VYPE: Give us your stat lines from last season.

KP: I averaged 26.3 points, 2.9 assists and 8.5 rebounds a game.

SH: Last season I averaged 21 points, 4.0 assists and 7.0 rebounds.

VYPE: What accomplishment on or off the court are you most proud of?

KP: Being named the Gatorade Player of the Year.

SH: Being committed to a DI school. [Harmon is committed to Pepperdine University]

VYPE: Do you have a favorite teacher at school?

KP: Ms. Burr was my favorite teacher because we related to each student in a lot of ways and she also coaches the freshmen team.

SH: Rory Hamilton is my favorite teacher, because he supports me on and off the court.

VYPE: What is the best advice you have been given?

KP: Work hard, expect nothing.

SH: You have to work hard for everything you want.

VYPE: What is your process for improving your game?

KP: My process for getting better is challenging myself even when I’m tired and don’t feel like it sometimes and working out with people who will push me to be the best I can be.

SH: My process for getting better is working out every day even when I don’t feel like it.

VYPE: Was there a former teammate who left an impression on you?

KP: My sister has left the biggest impression on me because she always pushed me to be better and she is very hardworking in everything she does.

SH: All of my coaches and former teammates left an impression on me.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give someone a shout out.

KP: Shout out to my parents because I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without them!

SH: Shout out to coach Beal for helping me grow as a player.
